The Shepherd's Mill will host the Mid Winter Fiber Fair at the Phillips County Fairgrounds. The event includes and opportunity to learn to show a llama or alpaca. The show is open to the public Sunday as the youth lead llamas and alpacas through obstacle courses designed to show the varied uses for animals. The public is invited to try their hand at multiple fiber "come and go" workshops on Saturday including Felting an Oven Mitt or Coasters, Rug Hooking, or Weaving Without a Loom. Classes in knitting, crochet, dyeing, weaving and spinning are offered Saturday all day and Sunday morning and pre-registration is required. Register online at www.kansasfiber.com/education.
