Alma Livestock Auction LLC hosts Rollover Hay Auction that raises $15675.00 for local fire departments.

"We wanted to find a way to help" said Alma Livestock Auction manager, Nate Dunse. Nate and his wife Dena' donated a semi load of alfalfa that was auctioned in Alma Livestock's auction ring on May10th, 2022. The winning bidder then donated the load of hay back to be auctioned again and again with all proceeds being donated to Fire Relief. The community was there to show their support and made the auction a huge success.

Once the bidding was over Beau & Jess Martin delivered the 30 bales to the burn area near Cambridge to be distributed to those who had lost their feed in the fire.

The Alma Livestock Auction Board of Directors along with Manager Nate Dunse decided to split the donated money between the area Fire Departments which included: Beaver City Volunteer Fire Department, Wilsonville Hendley Rural Fire District, Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department, Holbrook Volunteer Fire Department, Arapahoe Fire and Rescue, Edison Volunteer Fire, Oxford Volunteer Fire Department, Stamford Fire Department, Orleans Rural Fire Department, Alma Fire Department, Republican City Volunteer Fire & Rescue, Wilcox Fire Department, Almena Area Fire Department and Phillips County Rural Fire District #1 & Phillips County Rural Fire District #2.
