In 2015, the Public Works Department began repairing sanitary sewer manholes and adjusting manhole lids. The City has approximately 320 manholes in our sanitary sewer system. By repairing the manholes infiltration of rain water and other materials are stopped. Stopping these infiltrations lessons the cost of operation of the sanitary sewer system. Adjusting the manhole lids provides easier access for workers when maintenance is required. The Public Works Department will be working on a portion of town each year until all of the manholes repaired and adjusted. Please be aware of the barricades in the streets and drive safely.
