[ARCHIVED] Do you need a public sidewalk replaced at your home or business?

New Sidewalk

The City of Phillipsburg has a sidewalk replacement program available to all Phillipsburg property owners, residential or commercial. This program is funded through the city sales tax and provides an opportunity for property owners at make improvements which can enhance the property as well as make sidewalks safer for the public. For approved applicants, the City will purchase up to 400 square feet of concrete to be used in the sidewalk improvement. If the sidewalk is on a corner lot and both public sidewalks are replaced a total of 800 square feet of concrete will be purchased by the City. To comply with the American with Disabilities Act, the City will pay for 100% of the construction of ramps at corners. What a great opportunity for individuals, as well as entire blocks of property owners, to make improvements in the neighborhood!
