[ARCHIVED] City to offer Excel Spreadsheet Training

The training will be provided by the Management Development Center of Fort Hays State University and be held at the E-Center in the Fisher Building. Computers will be furnished however, participants are welcome to bring their own computer if they wish. The fee for each class will be $5 per participant. The Introduction class will be limited to 6 participants and the Intermediate will be limited to 10 participants. Please notify the Phillipsburg City office (785-543-5234) by Monday, May 8th, 2017 if you wish to enroll in either session.


Introduction – Thursday, May 11th, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m.

• Navigate basic Excel Spreadsheets – cover the menu options, terminology, lingo, shortcuts, row, column

• Build basic formulas

• Utilize basic functions

• Build simple charts/graphs


Intermediate – Thursday, May 11th, 1:00 p.m. – 5 p.m.

• Create What-If Statements

• Use logical statements

• Sort and filter data

• create PivotTables and Pivot Charts
