[ARCHIVED] Fireworks Sales Begin

The sale of fireworks begins on Tuesday, June 27th, and ends on Wednesday, July 5th, in the City of Phillipsburg.  Everyone needs to be aware of the ordinances regulating the use of the fireworks in the City.   All of the ordinances can be found at the attached link.

No fireworks are to discharged, ignited, or fired upon any public street, alley or avenue or in any park or public place within the city.  Discharging fireworks on private property cannot be done between the hours of 10:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m.; except, that on July 4th of each year, fireworks may be discharged on private property from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m. midnight.

Please be a good neighbor and remember that not everyone or their animals enjoy fireworks.  Be safe and don’t take risk that may end in disaster.  Always pick up your trash when you are done with the fireworks, be sure there are no hot items when putting the items in the trash.
