[ARCHIVED] Snow Emergency Declared April 13-14, 2018

The City of Phillipsburg is issuing a snow emergency at this time.  A blizzard warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Hastings.  Heavy snow and high winds are anticipated.  Area residents should expect icy roads to begin after 3 p.m. April 13.  Three to eight inches of snow with wind gust up to 55 miles per hour may occur thru Saturday April 14.


All vehicles and any other items parked on emergency snow routes should be moved at this time.   Emergency snow routes include: State Street, Second Street, Seventh Street,  Fischer Drive, Park Street (between Seventh and Highway 183), Nebraska Avenue (between Second and Seventh only), C Street (between Second and Seventh only), Fourth Street (between D Street and State Street only), E Street (between Fourth and Fifth Street only).


Please prepare for the storm by anticipating possible power outages and limited travel.
