Street Cleaning

Responsibilities

The City of Phillipsburg Public Works Department is responsible for the cleaning of all city streets. The streets are swept and sprayed for weeds on an as needed basis.

Pavement sweeping is also performed before and after major events. Street sweeping cleans surfaces to maintain a clean appearance and to improve the quality of storm water runoff that enters the storm sewer and discharges to the environment.
